Maria Garcia-Iniesta, Program Director, mariag (at) assetslancaster (dot) org

Maria brings a rich history of working with entrepreneurs and start-up businesses in Barcelona, Spain, and Lancaster. She has counseled hundreds of entrepreneurs and has started and managed her own business as well. Her responsibilities include organizing classes, working with trainers, counseling clients and much more. She is a board member of YWCA Lancaster. She is fluent in English and Spanish. 

Jessica King, Executive Director, jessicak (at) assetslancaster (dot) org

Jessica brings over 15 years of experience in nonprofit management and community and economic development in Lancaster and Pittsburgh to her leadership at ASSETS. She is an entrepreneur, having started several social enterprises in Pittsburgh and a small business of her own. Her work at ASSETS focuses on strengthening strategic partnerships, operational systems, programs and funding. She is a member of the Local Management Committee overseeing Lancaster County TANF resources, and is an organizer of a community garden project in southeast Lancaster City.

ASSETS was established in 1993 by Mennonite Economic Development Associates. Since then, ASSETS has supported hundreds of entrepreneurs in obtaining their goals. Through our program, small business owners learn how to start, manage and grow a young business.  

Microenterprise support for  entrepreneurs in Lancaster County has been our focus and mission for over 18 years.  We strongly believe that the health of our communities is dependent on the success of small businesses and the support of entrepreneurs.

Our staff, trainers and volunteers are entrepreneurial and have extensive experience in local small business.

All services are provided in both English and Spanish.
