Our Mission: ASSETS Lancaster changes lives and promotes economic development by providing business support services to aspiring entrepreneurs.
Since our inception in 1993, ASSETS has supported well over 1,200 entrepreneurs in obtaining their goals. Our staff and volunteers are entrepreneurs, current small business owners and bankers – among others. Our focus is on local microenterprise development and fostering economic development in our diverse Lancaster communities.

We’re currently part-way through a Business Design and Management Course Series, including a pilot course on self-employment for resettled refugees.The next class begins Tuesday May 8 and runs for 10 weeks from 6 – 9PM. Our fall class starts September 11. Additional classes may be offered as needed.
MicroMentor provides an online platform to connect mentors and entrepreneur mentees. Local matches can be made, and mentoring can happen in person, email, phone or online conferencing.

In December, ASSETS was awarded a competetive grant through the Lancaster County Community Foundation’s Ah-Ha Project. We will be completing a feasibility study around microfinance and social enterprise training and support.
