The Great Social Enterprise Pitch: Lancaster Transplants

tranJocelyne Park and Diane Richard are the entrepreneurs behind the idea, Lancaster Transplant. Both Park and Richards are not originally from Lancaster, but came up with an idea to enhance both locals and newcomers experience.

transThis idea turned into Lancaster Transplant, which is a community of locals and transplants to Lancaster city with the goal of making people happy. We hope to help build a vibrant community by providing the tools for newcomers and locals to experience Lancaster, by facilitate meaningful relationships in the community, and providing opportunities for individuals to share their values, creative thinking, and experiences to inspire growth in Lancaster. Lancaster Transplant helps to fund community programs, host events and workshops, offers business consultation services and grassroots marketing, partners with community members to plan events, and creates material to support both local and global causes.

Lancaster Transplant was chosen as one of the 10 finalist for the Great Social Enterprise Pitch. To learn more, watch their video, or vote for Lancaster Transplant, check out their contest page: http://www.rockethub.com/projects/45056-lancaster-transplant-connecting-the-dots#description-tab
